Weird Answer (It was)

"At first, I have been astonished by his answer but recently I know what did he imply for."

Well, before I tell you about the story behind the sentence above, I'll tell you first about my big dream. Why? Because it will have a correlation with the story that I would tell you later. So, my big dream (from the years ago) is... I want to have a great-peaceful-khusnul khotimah finish line on that land *pointing a finger to the west*... Madinah Al-Munnawarah :) Sounds weird? Maybe for some people the answer is "Yes!" but not for me. And the nice thing is... my big dream had been recited on a Hadits that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wassalam ever said. I just found it before I wrote this post. And it makes me happy! Really happy! Fortunately, my big dream is not a wrong dream :D

So, here it is... the story begin~

It happened when I've been on my way back to Indonesia, the exact place was on the airport's waiting room. Actually, I've spent my 10 days in Al-Haram and on that day was my last day there. The crowd on the waiting room wasn't really nice. My parents and I didn't get the comfort place for waiting the boarding time. So, my dad chose to sit on the shop's bench outside the waiting room area. Not too far actually. So, we didn't separated from the group.

At that time, my parents seek for my brother whom out of from their sight. So, they were turning their body back and pointing out where my brother was. In the meantime, A showed up and teased my parents with his silly face lol. I laughed. He was kind of comical person. The gag one :) Then he chose to sit opposite me. So here it was the story begin. My mom gave a question to him. Well, I'll give you the concise conversation because actually it was a little bit long conversation.

Mom: "So, recording to your plan how long will you stay in Medina?"
Him: "Hmm..Till I dead..." (enjoying his own giggles)

Well, I knew he was really serious but his answer made himself laughed. And in another side, (which was me and mom) there was only an awkward situation. It was actually hard to choose whether we had to laugh or not. And the result was me and mom who had a wrinkles on our forehead while smiling at him. I think our face was the reason he could laugh by his-own-serious-answer.

At first, I thought it was a weird answer. But wait! It's not totally weird. So, as you can see on my previous post, there was a hadits which tell us about his answer. So, I will recite it once again...

It was narrated by Imam Tirmidzi -rahimahullah-, Rasulullah -Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam- said:
من استطاع أن يموت بالمدينة فليمت بها ، فإني أشفع لمن يموت بها

"Which of you could die in Medina, let him strive toward it, for surely I will give intercession for those who died there".

Foilaaa! I know now that he said that with a brief reason. He didn't make his answer as a gag. He was really mean it. As you can see above, his answer has already stated on the hadist and it exactly wasn't a weird answer. He was citing from it. Also, because of his answer, now I know that my big dream (actually) has a brief reason that I don't know before.

At first, I really curious about the motive behind he said like that to my mom. So, It made me seek for an information about his 'weird' answer and it went for the information about Medina Almunnawarah and ended up with this hadist. And guess what? The result makes me extremely happy, happy, and happy. I have a BIG dream. A BIG DREAM :)

Thank you A for your 'weird' answer. You may not read my post but I really thank you a lot. Thanks Allah ..

cheers,

mayang alfina
