JIKF 2011

Jakarta International Kite Festival 2011, @ Ecopark - Ancol

Alhamdulillah , this year i've got the chance to join this festival again. Not as the participant exactly .. hehe but as the liaison officer. As like one year ago, i was LO-ing the participants from North Sumatra and Kepulauan Riau and this year i've been LO-ing the participants from Balikpapan, Pontianak, and Kota Baru. This event was starting from July 15th till 17th and ran smoothly as I thought :))

At the first day I came to Park Hotel, Cawang. Ka Debby told me to come to that hotel at seven o'clock. So I took transjakarta to bring me there. Seven to ten i got there and suddenly i had to take in charge on the regristration table. Woooooaaa .. that's not my job anyway but i thought because the committee didnt come yet, there was me take the responsibility .. #langsung cengok -..-
At that day the schedule is only a Seminar which was held in the JATI Room and it was for the local participants and for the international participants the schedule was looked around at Kota Tua, Jakarta.

At the night, we go to the Balai Kota Jakarta Pusat to attend the invitation dinner from the Mayor of the city.

Oh yaa .. the participants of this kite festival came from several states in this country and the guest from the other countries. The local participants is from Aceh, North Sumatra, Kepulauan Riau, Jambi, Jakarta, Central Java, Palembang, West Java, East Java, West Borneo, South Borneo, and East Borneo. And the int'l participants came from India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Italy, Germany, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Netherlands, France, Spain, and Australia.

Second and Third day we went to Ecopark-Ancol to flew the kites .. yeeeeeeeeeeaaaay !!
so we got to the bus and caaaauuu .. :)

Oh-Em-Jii .. there was so extremly HOT !! and unfortunately i didnt use my sunblock T_________T

As i expected before , my skin was going tanned . huaaaaaaaaaaaaa .. and it was only on my face because I wear hijab. It was soooooooooooooo tanned :(((((((((
Oke .. That was my bad, i didnt want to though..

Well, anyway the event was so fun (exception for being tanned .. LOL). I practiced how to flew the kite. Not the conventional ones but the modification one. It was called NASA kite. There was a REVOLUTION kite too. They were similar but NASA was heavier than REVO and rather difficult to control the move. Because the surface of the kite was wider so the wind made it a lil bit heavy to hold. But it was a BIG BIG BIG FUUUUUUUUUUN !!

Then i played with the Mr. Teguh's bubble maker. It was like in the movie that i've ever watched. The bubble came out from the rope which had been attached in the long stick (like the fishing rod). And the rope was formed into kind of shapes so the bubble would come with various shapes too. Sooooo amaziiiing .. !!

And the last day, I came to the Kite Museum. Ms. Endang was welcoming us there. Then we had dinner and the announcement of the winner of the competition had announced there.

I'm really happy to be a part of this festival. Because this festival taught me how to get a good communication with others and see the real condition of your surrounding.
There's the real life and you faced by the things that you have to keep them tight . The principle one i mean.
Hopefully I can join this even next year .. and get another exciting experiences .. !! :DD
